Unlikely ‘The Traitors’ player leads successful banishment: See who was voted out
The latest episode of “The Traitors” was filled with snakes, both literally and metaphorically.
The remaining contestants were forced to split into pairs in a “Fear Factor” themed mission involving bugs, arachnids and reptiles. The pairs had to hold hands inside a glass box as spiders, maggots and cockroaches were placed inside in order to win safety. Eventually, each contestant had a slithering snake placed onto their shoulders.
The duos that successfully managed to hold hands inside the box longer than their opponents were given shields protecting them from the next “murder.”
Later in the episode, the faithfuls managed to catch their first traitor without another traitor leading the charge. However, two traitors did vote against their team member after agreeing to stay loyal to each other.
As one of the messiest seasons on TV right now nears its finale, here’s what happened this episode, from who was murdered and banished to how many traitors are left.

‘The Traitors’: Who was ‘murdered’?
“Big Brother” star Derrick Levasseur was murdered in Thursday’s episode after calling out Boston Rob as a traitor.
In last week’s episode, Derrick privately told Dylan Efron he expects Rob to murder him and then claim that he was being framed. His prediction came into full fruition as Derrick never made his way to the breakfast table the following morning.
Meanwhile, Danielle Reyes broke into tears in front of everyone, sad that her fellow “Big Brother” friend has left the game. Unbeknownst to the other faithfuls, her sorrow stemmed from guilt as she allowed her fellow traitors to eliminate him.
Who was banished?
“Survivor” winner Rob Mariano, better known on TV as “Boston Rob,” became the second traitor be banished at the roundtable this season.
Earlier in the season, Rob exposed and eliminated his fellow traitor Bob The Drag Queen (Christopher Delmar Caldwell). The bold move raised suspicion on himself, yet Rob managed to talk his way out of two consecutive banishments and attempted to convince the majority to vote out “Big Brother” player Britney Haynes.
Yet it was “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval, whose frequent foolish theories were repeatedly dismissed by his castmates, who successfully led the charge against Rob. Both Danielle and Carolyn Wiger voted for their fellow traitor to prevent suspicion on themselves.
How many traitors are left?
As of Episode 8, there are only two traitors left, including “Big Brother” star Danielle Reyes and “Survivor” finalist Carolyn Wiger.
There were initially four traitors at the start of Season 3, including “Boston” Rob Mariano and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Bob the Drag Queen.
Who will be murdered next episode?
After the latest mission only gave around half the remaining cast shields, there are at least five players at risk of being “murdered” next episode. Unlike most murders, the traitors (Danielle and Carolyn) will meet face to face with player they decide to eliminate inside a church set.
The following players are up for “murder”:
- Chrishell Stause (“Selling Sunset”)
- Dolores Catania (“The Real Housewives of New Jersey”)
- Dylan Efron (“Down to Earth With Zac Efron”)
- Tom Sandoval (“Vanderpump Rules”)
- Gabby Windey (“The Bachelorette”)
